KRSU students completed summer school at Siberian Federal University
The international summer mining and geological school has ended at the Siberian Federal University. Fourteen students from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took part in the two-week program of the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals of Siberian Federal University.
Theoretical lectures and practical classes were held from July 8 to 21 at the ICM of Siberian Federal University and on the basis of educational practices «Comet» in Khakassia. The program was prepared and conducted by specialists from the Siberian Federal University ICM, including the best teachers and experts with many years of experience.
«The peculiarity of the program is that students were able to immediately apply the skills and knowledge acquired at lectures and seminars in practice in Khakassia», — noted Olga Shubkina, associate professor at the ICM Siberian Federal University.
KRSU students walked along educational geological routes, visited the Tuim failure, Mount Chargazhakh and other deposits. They mastered sampling and analysis techniques, as well as safety and environmental compliance issues.
In addition to studying, students visited the natural attractions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia, the museum-reserve «Chests», the eco-park «Breaking Mane» and other iconic places.
Participation in such events facilitates the exchange of experience, the acquisition of new knowledge and the establishment of connections useful for the implementation of future projects.
