KRSU students completed geological training at unique sites in Kyrgyzstan

Students of the direction «Physical processes of mining and oil and gas production» KRSU underwent geological training at unique natural and industrial sites in Kyrgyzstan.

The practice took place in two stages and included trips to the vicinity of Bishkek, to the northern foothills of the Kyrgyz ridge, to the Kutessay-II deposit and to the Aktyuz-Boorda ore region. Students visited the Aktobe processing plant, the Scientific Station of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the geological museum of KSTU. U. Asanalieva.

During the practice, students made geological observations, sketched outcrops, determined the composition of minerals, studied natural sections, performed spline testing, built geological sections and described the properties of facing stone in an urban environment.

KRSU graduates working in the geological and engineering fields conducted excursions and shared their professional experience.

The practice took place in accordance with the program. All participants successfully defended their reports. This is an important step towards the profession and the development of practical skills of future specialists.
