KRSU students became prize-winners of an international video competition in foreign languages

Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University won a II degree diploma at the IX interregional video competition in foreign languages «Go to the museum».The winners of the competition were 4th year student of the Department of English Language Theory and Intercultural Communication of the Faculty of Humanities Evgenia Gulaeva and 2nd year student of the Department of Communication Networks and Communication Systems Dmitry Oseledko.The competition was organized by MAOU «Gymnasium № 13» of the city of Nizhny Novgorod together with the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum, Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University named after N.A. Dobrolyubov, the Association of Volga Region Cities with the support of specialized educational and public organizations. In 2026, the competition was held under the theme «Image and detail».The main goal of the project is — to develop interest in the fine arts, improve the linguistic and intercultural competence of students, as well as support project and research activities in the humanitarian field.To participate in the competition, representatives of KRSU prepared a video dedicated to the image of Kurmanzhan Datka, depicted on the Kyrgyz 50 som banknote. In their work, students presented an analysis of the artistic image of an outstanding historical figure, revealed its symbolic content and cultural and historical significance, paying special attention to compositional and expressive means of artistic embodiment.The high assessment of the competition commission was recognition not only of the creative approach of the authors, but also of their ability to present the national cultural heritage in the international educational space through the means of a foreign language.
