KRSU students advanced to the next stage of the international competition «CyberDrom»
4th year students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University successfully passed the third stage of the international competition «Cyberdrome». KRSU team called Red Flag demonstrates high results in one of the most technologically advanced study programs engineering sports — control of unmanned systems.
Participants successfully passed theoretical tests and showed excellent results in controlling FPV drones. In the next stages, the team will take part in simulation races, programming drones to perform automated tasks, as well as competitions in an arena where flying and ground drones will compete for resources. The final task, as the organizers note, will be a surprise and promises to be the most spectacular test of the season.
The Team Red Flag it was created at the beginning of the current academic year on the basis Educational and scientific laboratory of robotics and unmanned transport technologies KRSU. The eight students of the «Software Engineering» stream were. Team leader and coach — Yuri Furmanov, Deputy Head of Laboratory.
According to the coach, these are just the first successes, and the university plans to gain a strong foothold in this sports discipline. Therefore, we are already recruiting people to train and participate in competitions next year.
In the near future, it is planned to create teams on the basis of the laboratory in other competitive categories —in particular, in the format of «robot battles» and robotic engineering tournaments. All interested students can join the training and preparation for new competitions.
Help: <TAG1> Cyberdrome«» all-Russian and international competition project for schoolchildren, students and young professionals aged 14 to 27 years. Participants perform engineering and design tasks in the digital industry: create and program unmanned aircraft systems, robotic systems and design solutions.
