Bright memory
It is with deep regret that the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University announces the death of Isakov Kumen Isakovich — Doctor of Economics, professor, outstanding scientist and teacher, one of those who stood at the origins of the formation of KRSU.
Isakov Kumen Isakovich was born in 1940 in the village of Bordu, Keminsky district, Chui region. After graduating from Kyrgyz State University in 1965, he continued his postgraduate studies at the Moscow Institute of Management named after S. Ordzhonikidze, where he defended his PhD thesis in 1973.
Kumen Isakovich's professional activities were inextricably linked with economic science and education. He worked as a teacher, senior lecturer, head of department, dean of the faculty, held the position of deputy head and head of the department of socio-cultural sphere of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
From 2000 and for almost twenty years, Kumen Isakovich worked at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, holding the position of first vice-rector. Under his leadership, a system of the educational process was formed, the material and technical base of the university was strengthened, new areas of training and scientific schools were developed.
Professor Isakov made a significant contribution to the development of economic science and personnel training in the field of production management. He published more than 70 scientific papers, including five collective monographs. Among the most famous works — research in the field of labor productivity, scientific and technological progress and the formation of the labor market in Kyrgyzstan.
He was a man of high culture, integrity and dedication to his work. His colleagues and students will remember him as a wise mentor, a demanding leader and an inspired scientist for whom serving the university and the country was the main work of his life.
The memory of Kumen Isakovich Isakov will forever remain in the hearts of colleagues, students and everyone who had the honor of working and studying next to him.
