Blessed memory of Boris Alexandrovich Rychkov

It is with deep regret that we inform you that on August 13, 2026, at the age of 89, Boris Aleksandrovich Rychkov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Mechanics and Instrument Engineering of KRSU, died.29 years of Boris Alexandrovich’s life were associated with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Since 1997, he has worked as a professor in the Department of Mechanics and Instrumentation, making significant contributions to the development of science and engineering education, training of students and young researchers.Boris Alexandrovich devoted more than six decades to scientific and pedagogical activities. His research interests were in the mechanics of deformable solids and the development of the concept of slip in plasticity theory. He is the author of more than 150 scientific papers, two monographs and more than 20 textbooks.For colleagues and students, Boris Alexandrovich will remain a scientist, teacher and mentor who devoted his life to science and education.The management, teachers, staff and students of KRSU express their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Boris Alexandrovich.The bright memory of Boris Aleksandrovich Rychkov and his many years of service to science and the university will forever remain in the hearts of colleagues and students.
