Blessed memory of Viktor Korneevich Gaidamako

It is with deep regret that we inform you that at the age of 89, Viktor Korneevich Gaidamako — Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, First Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University passed away.Viktor Korneevich was one of those people who stood at the origins of the creation of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. He made a huge contribution to the formation and development of KRSU, the formation of its institutional and regulatory framework, and was directly involved in the creation of a management system and organization of the educational process. His professionalism, vision and dedication largely determined the development of the university in its early years.For a quarter of a century, Viktor Korneevich headed the Faculty of Economics as its first dean. Under his leadership, solid foundations for the training of highly qualified specialists were laid, scientific and pedagogical traditions were formed, which continue to live today. Thanks to his work, the faculty became one of the leading departments of the university.For his colleagues, Viktor Korneevich was a wise mentor, a man of high culture, exceptional decency and integrity. For students — A teacher who not only passed on knowledge, but also cultivated responsibility, respect for the profession, the ability to think independently and make informed decisions.Over decades of teaching activity, Viktor Korneevich has trained thousands of specialists, many of whom today successfully work in government bodies, the financial sector, business, science and education. His main legacy was people to whom he gave not only knowledge, but also moral guidelines, which became the basis of their professional path.He was always distinguished by honesty, integrity and loyalty to his beliefs. Viktor Korneevich himself said that throughout his life he tried to tell the truth, no matter how bitter it was, guided by the law, conscience and common sense.
