Warm meeting with the Russian Ambassador: student activists KRSU were inspired by the example of Sergei Vakunov
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin, a meeting of student activists with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergei Vakunov took place. The warm atmosphere, frank conversations and lively dialogue made the event truly unforgettable. Acting Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov warmly welcomed the guest and noted the importance of such meetings for youth development.
Sergei Vakunov spoke about his path to diplomacy, starting with memories of his student years. He shared stories from his life, noting how the university became for him a place where not only knowledge, but also life principles were formed. «Student – is a time of dreams and great opportunities. It was then that I realized that any big business starts small, but requires hard work and energy», – the ambassador emphasized.
During the conversation, activists asked questions about the prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, about support for student initiatives and the possibility of participating in international projects. Sergey Vakunov noted the importance of the role of youth in the development of society:
«You – the future of our common history. Your ideas, enthusiasm and concern can bring new colors to it. I am confident that you will cope with the challenges of the time, because all doors are open to you».
He also focused on the need to support student projects, exchange experiences and strengthen ties between universities in Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
Concluding the meeting, the ambassador addressed the students with parting words: «Don’t be afraid to try new things, set ambitious goals for yourself and go towards them. Moving forward – the key to success».
These words caused a storm of applause and a response in the hearts of the students, who noted that meeting such a bright and experienced person inspired them to new achievements.
