KRSU traditional decan meeting: key decisions and priorities
The traditional dean's meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University under the leadership of Rector Sergei Volkov. At the meeting, they discussed personnel changes, design of a new campus, issues of infrastructure and student comfort, development of partnerships, as well as work with the student community and graduates.
On October 1, new appointments come into force at the university: Nargiz Sadyrovna Dzhumaeva will become vice-rector for economic and financial issues, Marina Gennadievna Yurchenko will become vice-rector for educational activities —, Timofey Nikolaevich Zhzhonov will head the infrastructure department. «Changes — not accidental. The university must be autonomous and stable, regardless of business trips and rotations», — noted Sergei Volkov.
Particular attention is paid to the construction of the new KRSU campus. PPK «Single Customer» of the Russian Ministry of Construction has been appointed as the general contractor, which will allow building the process without intermediaries and the risk of missing deadlines. According to the rector, the most important task of the university at this stage is to formulate high-quality technical specifications that take into account laboratories for industrial partners, modern libraries, gyms and spaces for student initiatives. «What we put into the project today will become a reality tomorrow. We must immediately plan laboratories for partners, gyms, a library of the best level in Central Asia, places for student communities», he emphasized.
Issues of executive discipline and document flow were also discussed. The rector noted the positive dynamics in the operation of the «Infodox» and «1C» systems, but emphasized the need for correct task setting and the creation of a unified database of contracts with students of all categories. «No “subtasks” that cannot be closed. We set tasks correctly and complete them on time. According to the agreements — one standard and transparent accounting», — said Sergei Volkov.
The focus was also on the comfort of the student environment. In a number of buildings, the work of canteens has been temporarily suspended, but alternative food areas have been provided for students. At the same time, the university is preparing for the heating season and carrying out repairs. The deans were instructed to complete an inventory of furniture, some of which will be restored by the furniture workshop, and the missing elements will be purchased centrally. «We decide quickly and in a businesslike manner: what can be restored — we restore, we purchase the rest. Comfort for students and staff —priority», — noted the rector.
The meeting also discussed the development of sports, strengthening student culture and working with graduates. The university is preparing an agreement on the use of the complex «Alga», coaches are developing strategies for the development of national teams. The Career Center is tasked with synchronizing work with the alumni association and building a unified model of meetings, as well as expanding the alumni community.
The rector highlighted the development of the KRSU endowment fund as a separate item. According to him, the fund has now accumulated 6.6 million soms. The foundation's operating system has been successfully tested, and now university employees and partners can make regular contributions. «This is personal involvement in the development of the university and the programs that we are implementing. Endowment — a tool for long projects and a confident future KRSU», — emphasized Sergey Volkov.
The educational part of the agenda discussed testing the universal competencies of employees and students, the development of additional education programs and network formats of cooperation with partners. «Any strategy — is a discipline of execution. Competencies, additional software, network programs — we work according to a single schedule and clear metrics», — said the rector.
The meeting was the next stage in the formation of KRSU's strategic course for renewal: the university combines federal infrastructure solutions with internal reforms, creating new opportunities for students, teachers and partners.
