The creative team KRSU presented the play «Women who went through the war» at the All-Russian competition in Moscow
On November 21, 2025, the final of the III All-Russian competition of stage productions of student creative groups «Without a statute of limitations: in the mirror of historical truth» was held in Moscow, organized by the Russian Historical Society and the Foundation «History of the Fatherland» with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was among the finalists of the competition: the student theater association «PROmovement» presented the production «Women who went through the war», a heartfelt composition dedicated to the feat of women during the Great Patriotic War and the tragic pages of the history of Kyrgyzstan.
After several stages of selection, the KRSU team became one of six finalists who advanced to the final stage of the all-Russian competition. In the final, the students performed before an expert jury, which included representatives of the Russian Historical Society, cultural figures, theater teachers and specialists in the field of historical and patriotic education.
The production «Women who went through the war», created under the direction of Yevgeny Prokopenko, combines fragments from the works of Chingiz Aitmatov, the poetic heritage of Kyrgyz authors dedicated to the feat of Toktogon Albakasova, and music of the war years. The performance conveys the fortitude, maternal love and incredible resilience of women who survived the war and carried this memory through decades.
KRSU's participation in the all-Russian competition was a continuation of the humanitarian and cultural work developed by the university in recent years. This is not the first time that the student association «PROmotion» represents the university at large venues and forms its own creative school, which combines theatrical art, literature and historical memory.
The performance in Moscow was an opportunity for students to express the creative potential of KRSU, demonstrate the importance of integrating cultural initiatives to strengthen Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation and show how much the younger generation is interested in preserving historical truth.
Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University expresses gratitude to the creative team «PROmotion», director Evgeniy Prokopenko and everyone who participated in the preparation of the production. The final of the competition was an important achievement, confirming the high level of creative and research work of university students.
