A lesson in memory of the siege of Leningrad was held with the participation of an expert from KRSU

Today at the school named after J. Bokonbaev held an event dedicated to one of the most tragic pages in the history of the Great Patriotic War — the siege of Leningrad. The memorable lesson was held in the format of a thematic meeting aimed at preserving historical memory and understanding the events of the war years. Leonid Sumarokov, director of the Center for Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, spoke to the schoolchildren via online communication. He told the students about the causes and consequences of the siege of Leningrad, the heroism of civilians, the resilience of the city and the significance of these events for the historical memory of peoples. The event took place in a Russian language classroom equipped with training stands, which were transferred to the KRSU school last year. As part of the lesson, they were used as a visual and meaningful element of a memory lesson. During the meeting, schoolchildren got acquainted with key historical facts, discussed the fate of the residents of besieged Leningrad and paid tribute to the memory of the victims. Carrying out such events helps to develop in the younger generation a respectful attitude towards history and awareness of the value of human life and peace.
