Success of KRSU students: awards at the CIS Environmental Olympiad'
Vice-Rector for Educational Activities of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) Elena Devyatova held a meeting with participants of the XIV International Environmental Olympiad for universities in the CIS countries. The KRSU team includes first-year master's student Damir Akmatov and third-year students Victoria Lagunova, Nurtenir Amanov, Bekzhan Boobekov and Mirbek Kulekbaev. The team leader was the head of the Department of Ecology and Protection in Emergency Situations, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Eric Mambetov.
53 teams from Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in the prestigious Olympiad, which was held at the international level. Participants competed in theoretical and practical rounds, demonstrating in-depth knowledge in the field of ecology, environmental management and environmental protection.
A special achievement of the KRSU team is associated with the success of student Amanov Nurtenir (group ZChS-1-22), who scored 83.08 points in the individual competition of the theoretical round and was awarded a III degree diploma.
«Participation in such events — is not only an indicator of the high level of training of our students, but also an opportunity for them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the international arena, exchange experiences and make useful contacts. We are proud of the successes of our team and are confident that they will make a significant contribution to the development of ecology and environmental protection», — noted Elena Devyatova.
The KRSU team showed a high level of training and contributed to strengthening the image of the university in the international arena. Participation in such Olympiads not only inspires students to new achievements, but also strengthens their professional competencies.
