A business incubator has started operating at KRSU
On April 15, Open Day was held in the large assembly hall of the university, dedicated to the opening of the KRSU business incubator, the main goal of which is – assistance in the implementation of student initiatives, the development of student entrepreneurship, stimulating innovative ideas and supporting projects at all stages of development: from the development of an idea to its commercialization -.
The initiators of the creation and leaders of the business incubator, created jointly with the State Intellectual Property Fund under Kyrgyzpatent, are associate professors of the Department of Management KRSU – D. Suleeva and A. Rakhmanalieva. Assistance in the creation and opening of the incubator was provided by the Enactus KRSU team, which will continue to take an active part in its work.
Open Day was opened by KRSU Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Valery Lelevkin. Speakers at the event were: Executive Director of the State Fiscal Service under Kyrgyzpatent Zhoodar Zhumabaev, Director of the Enactus Kyrgyzstan program Gulbarchin Suyunova, as well as Deputy Project Manager of USAID «Competitive Enterprise», graduate of KRSU and Cambridge Gulmira Asanbaeva. Guests of the event spoke about successful business in their presentations, including: tracker of more than 180 startups, small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine and the Czech Republic Valery Grishin, co-founder of the project «Fit Jab» Eric Abdykalykov, General Director of LLC «Kettick» – one of the leading companies in the tourism industry of the Kyrgyz Republic – Erbol Abdyakimov.
The Open Day was moderated by Roman Chesnov, a student of the Faculty of Economics of KRSU.
It is worth noting that as part of Open Day, a decision was made to create a mentoring club KRSU. At the moment, final preparations are underway for its launch. The first mentors (about 20 people) – graduates of KRSU (famous and successful entrepreneurs, managers, marketers, as well as business coaches who decided to support their alma mater). Lyudmila Khasanova, associate professor of the management department of KRSU, public figure, expert of the NGO «Investment Round Table», was appointed head of the club.
At the beginning of June, as part of the business incubator program, a competition of ideas for startup projects will be held, in which any KRSU students can take part. Applications are accepted until May 30.
