KRSU awarded the first graduates of the Yandex.Lyceum

A ceremony was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University to present certificates to the first graduates of the Yandex.Lyceum. 22 schoolchildren received documents on successful completion of the first year of the additional educational program «Basics of programming in Python».Yandex.Lyceum is a large-scale educational project of the company «Yandex» for students in grades 8-10. The training is competitive and allows schoolchildren to master the basics of one of the most popular programming languages - Python - for free.The first course lasted seven months. During this time, participants learned the basic designs of the Python language, modern software development tools, the principles of writing high-quality program code, and also became acquainted with the basics of object-oriented programming.The certificates were presented to the graduates by course teacher Maxim Krasnov. As a result of the training, 10 schoolchildren received certificates with honors, which gives them the right to continue their studies in the second year of Yandex. Lyceum without passing entrance tests.The implementation of Yandex.Lyceum based on KRSU contributes to the early training of future IT specialists, helps schoolchildren gain in-demand digital competencies even before entering university and introduces them to modern approaches to software development.
