KRSU discussed the development of UAV, robotics and artificial intelligence laboratories

KRSU hosted a working meeting between Rector Sergei Volkov and teams from laboratories of unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics and artificial intelligence.The meeting took place in anticipation of the university's transition to a new institutional model. From September 1, 2026, ETF and FADiS will become part of the Polytechnic Institute, which will become one of the key centers for engineering and technological development of KRSU.▪️ During the meeting, prospects for the development of scientific research, the implementation of applied projects and the creation of our own technological solutions in the field of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and unmanned systems were discussed.Particular attention was paid to the task of developing university technology products. The laboratories have been set a goal by the end of 2026 to present their own practice-oriented developments that are in demand in various sectors of the economy.▪️ The prospects for conducting research work in the field of aerial and ground laser scanning were also discussed. Technologies can find application in construction, cartography, hydrology, environmental monitoring and solving problems in the field of emergency situations.▪️ One of the most ambitious projects will be the development of our own unmanned aerial vehicle, adapted for operation in the difficult mountainous conditions of Kyrgyzstan.▪️ The development of high-tech laboratories is an important part of KRSU’s strategy to form a modern engineering school, strengthen research potential and train specialists capable of creating in-demand technological solutions for the economy and society.
