KRSU discussed the role of student science and mentoring in the training of future researchers

As part of the KRSU Medical Science Days and the XXV anniversary international scientific forum of students and young scientists «Youth scientific creativity in the training of medical and biological personnel: 25 years of tradition and development», a round table was held «The role of the student scientific society and mentoring in shaping the path of a researcher —from fundamental knowledge to medical innovation».The event brought together teachers, scientists, heads of student scientific associations and young researchers from Kyrgyzstan and Russia. The main topic of discussion was modern approaches to the development of student science, the role of mentoring in the professional development of future doctors and researchers, as well as mechanisms for involving students in scientific activities from the first years of study.The round table was moderated by Deputy Dean for Scientific and Clinical Work of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU Aidana Arykova and Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Educational Work of Omsk State Medical University Irina Voloshina.Opening the round table, Irina Voloshina presented the experience of organizing extracurricular activities and scientific work of students at the Faculty of Dentistry of Omsk State Medical University. Particular attention was paid to the formation of professional competencies of future specialists through participation in scientific projects, conferences and specialized student associations.Senior Lecturer at the Department of Hospital Surgery named after Kh. S. Bebezov KRSU Farida Rakhimova made a report «Student scientific circle as the first step into big science», talking about the possibilities of scientific circles as platforms for developing research skills, forming interest in scientific activities and training future scientists.Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Anatomy named after Academician Yu.I. shared his experience in training medical personnel through a system of mentoring and scientific circles. Borodin Novosibirsk State Medical University Pavel Elyasin. In his speech, he noted the importance of early involvement of students in research activities and the role of mentors accompanied by young researchers.Head of the Department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU Anvar Beisembayev presented the experience of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU in developing circle activities and supporting talented students. He spoke about scientific projects implemented at the faculty, student participation in Olympiads and conferences, as well as work to identify and support promising young researchers.The round table participants noted that student scientific societies and mentoring play an important role in the training of modern medical personnel, contribute to the development of research thinking, the formation of professional competencies and the creation of conditions for the emergence of new scientific initiatives.The round table became an important part of the program of KRSU Medical Science Days and made it possible to exchange best practices in the development of student science, strengthen professional ties between educational organizations and discuss prospects for further cooperation in the field of training young researchers.
