The Bishkek International Media School opened at KRSU

The educational event for media workers and student journalists is held within the framework of the international project «Dialogue Russia – central Asian countries». The organizer is the Public Foundation «Oy-Pikir» with the support of the Gorchakov Foundation.

The media school was opened by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Kyrgyz Republic, Albert Zulkharneev. He congratulated those present on the Day of Information and Press of Kyrgyzstan and wished them productive two-day work.

In his welcoming speech to the participants, Vice-Rector for Information Policy of KRSU Fedor Turygin noted the increase in demand for media specialists in Kyrgyzstan, emphasizing that this media school is of a practical and applied nature.

In the media school program – panel discussions, lectures, master classes and trainings in various areas of media creativity. Among the speakers are – well-known media experts from Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Listeners – media representatives, students of KRSU and BSU – they will gain skills in working with information sources and learn how to create high-quality content. In addition, media school participants will touch upon the role of the media in the modern world, traditional and new media, the principles of competent investigation and citizen journalism, and the basics of digital security.
