The Russian-Kyrgyz educational forum opened at KRSU: key events and opinions of participants
A large-scale Russian-Kyrgyz educational forum opened within the walls of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. From the very morning, the university became a center for meetings of leading experts, students and teachers from Russia and Kyrgyzstan. During the day there will be lively discussions aimed at exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation in the educational and scientific fields.
Morning session: support for startups and new technologies
The forum opened with a session dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship and launching startups for students. Moderator Anton Losev, Deputy Vice-Rector for Innovation at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, set the tone for the discussion, outlining key trends in the development of scientific and practical circles. The opinions of Aigul Nurmatova, vice-rector of the Kyrgyz University of Economics, and Marat Kudaykulov, professor at KRSU, were heard on stage, who emphasized the importance of involving students in entrepreneurial activity from the early stages of study.
«We see how startups emerging within university walls can grow into successful companies, and this —is the merit of such initiatives», — Nurmatova noted.
In another room, the partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in creating advanced engineering schools was discussed. Dmitry Glazunov, director of the KRSU training center, and other speakers, including Alexander Fedotov from SFU, discussed plans to develop new programs and technologies that will help take engineering education to a new level.
At the same time, discussions were held on biotechnological projects, where Valery Lelevkin, professor at KRSU, together with colleagues from ITMO and KRSU, touched upon the issues of introducing biotechnology into curricula for students and schoolchildren.
Entrepreneurship and global challenges
After a short break, the forum continued at 10:30 with new discussions.
In Hall №1, technological entrepreneurship was again discussed. Mikhail Sharafan, vice-rector of Kuban State University, spoke via video link, sharing his experience of how universities can stimulate the development of startups and innovative projects among young people. Particular attention was drawn to the speech of Kirill Zagaykevich, a student at Ugra State University and general director of the company «Nevitech», who told how his student project grew into a successful enterprise. At the same time, experts gathered to discuss the Eurasian project in the context of the transformation of the world order. Vyacheslav Sutyrin from MGIMO emphasized the importance of scientific diplomacy and academic cooperation between Eurasian countries in modern realities.
Final session: intercultural competence and student motivation The final session focused on the development of intercultural competence among students. Anvar Beisembayev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU, noted that in the context of globalization, students must be able to adapt to different cultural and professional environments. Ekaterina Andryushkina, head of the preparatory department of KrasSMU, shared her experience of adapting foreign students to Russian realities.
Forum participants noted the high organization of the event and the usefulness of the discussions. «The forum showed how important cooperation between our countries is in the educational sphere, especially in modern conditions, when learning and science play a decisive role in economic development», — commented Valery Lelevkin. The event was a significant step in strengthening Russian-Kyrgyz educational ties, and also provided an opportunity for students and teachers to discuss the prospects for the development of joint projects.
