KRSU celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology
On December 3, ceremonial events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology and the opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovations in Science and Technology» were held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The ceremonial part brought together teachers, students, graduates of different years and partners of the faculty. Congratulations were heard from the stage from the management of KRSU, representatives of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after. AND. Razzakov, graduates, partners and employers. Many of them stressed that the fundamental training received at the ETF was the basis for their professional growth in Kyrgyzstan, Russia and abroad. They remembered the first years of the formation of the faculty, when laboratory classes were held on the basis of a thermal power plant, and the technical infrastructure was created literally «from one chair» and the enthusiasm of the teachers.
Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov, congratulating the team, noted the ETF’s contribution to the development of engineering education and scientific research:
«Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology today — this is a living laboratory of the city and the republic. Engineering personnel are formed here, network programs are implemented with leading technical universities in Russia, scientific projects and student initiatives are launched. 30 years —this is the age when there are already serious results and great prospects».
As a sign of support, the faculty received an interactive panel as a gift to update the educational and laboratory facilities.
By order of the rector of KRSU, a number of faculty members were awarded medals «For services to KRSU» and letters of gratitude for their many years of contribution to the development of education, science and the material and technical base of the university.
The anniversary program will continue within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovations in Science and Technology»:
- plenary session with the participation of leading scientists;
- workshops and speeches by partners in the fields of logistics, software engineering, renewable energy, mining and industrial safety;
- student events, work in the laboratory of unmanned systems, practical classes on 3D prototyping and manufacturing of printed circuit boards.
The ETF anniversary became not only a reason for congratulations, but also the starting point for a new stage in the development of the faculty as part of the future engineering block KRSU, with updated laboratories, modern educational programs and an expanding circle of industrial partners.
