KRSU summed up the results of the Scientific Topics Competition NPR – 2025: 114 projects supported
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin completed the selection of applications for participation in the main and additional competitions of scientific topics for scientific and pedagogical workers for 2025. Competitions are held annually to stimulate scientific activity and strengthen the research potential of the university.
Main call: focus on quality and continuity
85 projects were approved under the main Competition of scientific topics of scientific research. The selected participants of the Competition are current employees of KRSU and currently have an employment relationship with the university.
The key evaluation criteria were
• compliance of the topic with the stated goals and objectives;
• justification of relevance and innovation;
• the prospects for practical application of the results;
• a multidisciplinary approach;
• methodological study and scientific relevance;
• compliance with the priority areas of science of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
Participants who did not pass the main selection were given the opportunity to finalize and present projects as part of the additional stage. This approach underscores the university's commitment to supporting a wide range of researchers and creating a level playing field for scientific growth.
Additional competition: another chance to implement ideas
29 projects were approved under the additional Competition of scientific topics of scientific research. The selected participants of the Competition are current employees of KRSU and currently have an employment relationship with the university.
Thus, the total number of supported scientific initiatives in 2025 amounted to 114 projects, of which 85 – mainly and 29 – in the additional, which indicates a stable increase in scientific activity within the walls of KRSU.
University support for scientific initiative
Holding competitions on scientific topics has become a sustainable practice of the university, aimed at developing internal scientific potential, forming research teams and introducing the results obtained into the educational process and practice. Support for both experienced and early-stage researchers — an important part of the strategic mission of KRSU as one of the leading universities in Kyrgyzstan.
