The annual event «Total Dictation» took place at KRSU

Today, an international educational event «Total Dictation» took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. This event annually brings together Russian language lovers on six continents — dictation is written in more than 50 countries, including the most remote corners of the planet, even beyond the Arctic Circle.

«Total dictation» is aimed at popularizing the Russian language, increasing literacy and creating a stable interest in its study both among native speakers and among those who study it as a foreign or non-native language. Anyone can take part in the action — only the desire to test their literacy level is important.

In KRSU, the dictation was read by Olga Sumarokova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Russian Language, Doctor of Historical Sciences. Her speech emphasized the importance of preserving the culture of the Russian word and developing linguistic competence among students and guests of the university.
