KRSU hosted a guest lecture on the protection of human rights and the activities of the Akyikatchy Institute

A guest lecture on the topic «Institute of Akyikatcha (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic: protection of human rights and the role in strengthening justice» was held at the Higher School of Diplomacy and Law of the Socio-Humanitarian Institute KRSU.The meeting took place within the framework of a previously concluded memorandum of cooperation between KRSU and the Office of the Akyikatcha (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic.Representatives of the Akyikatchy Office spoke to the students: expert Cholpon Bakirova and leading specialist of the department for working with judicial authorities and monitoring trials Temirlan Aitnazarov.During the lecture, students got acquainted with the activities of the Akyikatchy Institute, its powers in the field of protecting human rights and freedoms, as well as with the practical aspects of interaction with the judiciary and monitoring of trials.Particular attention was paid to how human rights protection mechanisms work in practice and what role the Ombudsman institution plays in the legal system of Kyrgyzstan.
