The head of the Russian Presidential Administration for Strategic Partnership and Cooperation, Vadim Titov, visited KRSU
The head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Strategic Partnership and Cooperation, Vadim Titov, visited the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The guest was presented with educational, cultural and infrastructure projects of the university implemented in 2024–2025, as well as plans for further development.
The program began with watching the trailer for the feature film «Return of the Mendysh», created with the participation of the first vice-rector of KRSU Gulnara-Klara Samat. Then Vadim Titov visited the exhibition «Born in the Sky of the Tien Shan», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It included a multimedia project «Panfilovtsy», created by the student historical club KRSU with the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic. Using artificial intelligence technologies, the project brings to life portraits of soldiers of the 8th Guards Rifle Division named after I. V. Panfilova. The tour was conducted by the head of the student historical club “Berkut” Yulia Novalishina.
The next item on the program was the presentation of the layout of the future KRSU campus. Rector Sergei Volkov spoke about the stages of construction and key directions of development of the university, emphasizing the long-term nature of the project:
«To accommodate all nonresident students, we need about 7,000 places, so a significant amount of new dormitories is included in the project. We also envisage the construction of a school, which was previously agreed at intergovernmental level».
Separately, the rector focused on the results of modernizing the university’s infrastructure in 2025. Over the past year, KRSU has completed a large-scale set of works: a major overhaul of the roofs of the main building, the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction, as well as the Faculty of Medicine has been carried out; an LED screen was installed in the foyer and in the new student space; The assembly hall and sanitary facilities in several buildings have been updated. The classrooms have been modernized, and the branded auditorium of the Eurasian Development Bank has been opened. The Center for Chinese Language and Culture is equipped with modern presentation equipment, and the Center for Iranian Studies has been overhauled. Food stations of the humanities, law and natural sciences faculties have been updated.
In addition, a KRSU clinic and a dental center have been opened. The university received additional maneuverable fund facilities for the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of International Relations, which allowed for the expansion of teaching space and the continuation of modernization.
In a separate block, the rector noted the development of the digital infrastructure: the server base was updated, storage systems, servers and the network core were put into operation, 1,600 accounts were connected to a single Active Directory, systems «1C: Document flow» and «1C: WKSU» were introduced, corporate mail and Office 365 for employees, the UserGate system was introduced, the stability and speed of the Internet connection were increased (up to 1 Gbit/s at the central node). The basis of the project «First Digital University» has also been created and the KRSU brand book has been updated.
Based on the results of the review, Vadim Titov noted the systemic nature of the transformations and the high level of development of infrastructure solutions. He emphasized that KRSU demonstrates sustainable development and creates a modern educational environment that meets the needs of students and partners.
The visit ended with a visit to the KRSU school, where, after a major overhaul, classrooms were updated, the engineering infrastructure was completely modernized, the entrance area, interior doors and glazing were replaced, landscaping was carried out, floors, walls and ceilings, as well as sanitary rooms were updated. The design concept for modernization and improvement was developed by KRSU graduates.
