A gala event was held at KRSU to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the opening of the Institute of World Languages
Today, a gala event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). One of the main events was the opening of the Institute of World Languages and a linguistic laboratory equipped with modern technologies.
The laboratory allows you to master the profession of a translator in practice. The event was attended by honored guests, among whom was Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baysalov. In his speech, he congratulated everyone on the anniversary of the PRC and noted the importance of the partnership between the two countries: "Dear friends, I congratulate you on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the opening of the Institute of World Languages at KRSU. The day of the creation of the People's Republic of China — is an important historical milestone. Kyrgyzstan and China — friendly neighbors who build relations on the principles of mutual respect. In May, during the visit of President Sadyr Japarov to China, important agreements were reached that raised our strategic partnership to a new level. In just 8 months of this year, trade turnover between the countries amounted to about $9 billion and this is not the limit. Kyrgyzstan is the gateway to Central Asia and Russia. Today we see the fruits of the work of the department, which has now become an institute. I wish you further success," Baysalov emphasized.
Rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of international cooperation: "Dear friends, we are glad to see you all here. Although our university is focused on cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, international cooperation has always been and remains our priority. China — one of our key partners," Fomin-Nilov said.
Particularly significant was the welcoming speech of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan, Mrs. Du Dewen. She noted the importance of cultural and educational exchange between the countries: "China and Kyrgyzstan have maintained close and friendly relations for many years. Education and cultural relations play an important role in their development. The opening of the Institute of World Languages at KRSU — is a step towards strengthening our ties and mutual understanding. I am confident that new opportunities for learning languages and culture will further develop cooperation between our countries.".
The program culminated in an international dance choreographed by students representing cultural traditions in China, Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The event brought together famous public and government figures, including deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, who also delivered congratulations. The celebration ended with a general photograph of the participants.
