The 1st Open Student Pirogov Forum took place at KRSU
On November 25, the birthday of the great Russian experimental scientist, outstanding surgeon, excellent teacher and public figure N. Pirogov, the 1st Open Student Pirogov Forum was held at the medical faculty of KRSU, organized by the Department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery together with the Departments of Human Anatomy named after. academician. Yu. Borodin, operative surgery and topographic anatomy of Novosibirsk State Medical University.
The format chosen was mixed – offline and online. A total of 44 students took part in the forum. Its goal was once formulated by N. Pirogov himself: «...all citizens preparing to be useful must first learn to be people. Therefore, everyone, until a certain period of life in which their inclinations and their talents are clearly indicated, should enjoy the fruits of the same moral and scientific enlightenment».
The forum program included a round table and a quiz «What? Where? When?». During the week before the opening of the forum, students of the SNK Department of Anatomy and OKTA KRSU under the guidance of the head of the caf circle. anatomy and OKTA F. Israilova independently prepared and gave lectures on the main milestones in the life of N. Pirogov, his achievements in anatomy and surgery.
The round table was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU, Professor A. Zarifyan, wishing everyone successful work.
Together with 1st-5th year students of KRSU and NSMU, SamSMU (Samara, Russian Federation), KhMGMA, (Khanty-Mansiysk, Russian Federation), ASMI (Andijan, RUZ), the deputy took part in the round table. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of KRSU, head. Department of Physics, Medical Formatics and Biology, Associate Professor. R. Karaeva, head Department of Anatomy and OKHTA KRSU, Associate Professor. Elyasin, head. department of operational surgery and topographic anatomy of NSMU, prof. V. Kuznetsov, prof. V. Gabitov, associate professor. A. Beisembayev, art. teacher. A. Gabaidulin (KRSU).
A total of 16 reports were presented on the activities of N. Pirogov. The level of training of the students was the highest, and there was a feeling of presence at a monothematic «adult» scientific conference. The topics of the messages revealed the breadth of N. Pirogov’s horizons and scientific interests, from scientific achievements in the field of anatomy and «ice sculptures» to the development of the basics of military field surgery, military and civil anesthesiology, dentistry, from development of children's education to university. And in all the messages his thought ran like a red thread: «Education cannot exist without teaching; especially since those who study are educated, much more so are educated, much more so are brought up».
In the second part of the forum there was a quiz «What? Where? When?». Students were asked to answer questions within a certain time about N. Pirogov’s contribution to the development of anatomy, surgery, the organization of military medical services, and the educational process.
Based on the quiz results, the following students were awarded diplomas:
1st place – Maya Kozhokeeva, gr. PD-4-20, Adelina Naimanova, gr. PD-2-20;
II place – Aidana Abyltaeva, gr. LD-1-21, Aidai Anarbekova, gr. LD-6-20;
III place – Sirozhidin Abdullaev, gr. LD-4-20, Esmira Bakhshalieva, gr. LD-8-21.
And, of course, all participants received certificates!
