An open seminar on laser scanning was held at KRSU

An open seminar «Laser scanning: economics and social projects» was held at the KRSU Laboratory of Robotics and UAVs, bringing together students, young professionals and everyone interested in modern digital technologies.Participants were introduced to the practical possibilities of laser scanning in various fields. Experts spoke about the creation of a digital water cadastre, the digitization of irrigation networks and the introduction of smart irrigation systems, the use of technology in construction control and the creation of digital twins of objects, as well as the preservation of historical and cultural heritage using 3D modeling of monuments.The special guest of the seminar was a practicing laser scanning specialist, who shared real cases online, spoke about typical mistakes of novice specialists and gave recommendations to those who plan to develop in this area.The prospects for the profession aroused particular interest among the participants: according to experts, in the next 3–5 years the Kyrgyz market will need from 300 to 500 laser scanning specialists, and the level of wages in the industry can reach 150 thousand soms.Such events allow KRSU students to get acquainted with advanced technologies, in-demand professions and communicate directly with leading industry practitioners.
