The «Total Dictation» took place at KRSU

At the site of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin hosted the international educational event Total Dictation, which united everyone who strives to test and improve their literacy level.«Total dictation» — this is an annual cultural and educational initiative aimed at popularizing the Russian language and developing literate writing skills. The motto of the action is — «Writing correctly – fashionable».In 2026, Alexey Varlamov — prose writer, publicist, researcher of Russian literature of the 20th century, Doctor of Philology became the author of the dictation text. Participants were offered a text dedicated to the childhood of Alexander Pushkin.The dictation took place at two university sites and brought together students, teachers and everyone who wanted to join the action. Participants were able to test their knowledge of spelling and punctuation, as well as become part of a large-scale international educational project.The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University traditionally supports such initiatives aimed at developing the culture of speech and popularizing the Russian language.
