KRSU has launched events to preserve historical memory as part of the project «80th anniversary of our common Victory»
From November 11 to 14 at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU) events will be held aimed at preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War. The project was organized by the Russian Society «Knowledge» and the Center for the Implementation of Student Projects and Programs with the support of the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations and the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region.
Acting by the rector of KRSU, Sergey Volkov, noted at the opening of the event: "Today, more than ever, it is important to preserve and pass on to the younger generation true knowledge about the feat of our ancestors, who, at the cost of incredible efforts, defended freedom and peace. The project "80th Anniversary of Our Common Victory" not only fosters patriotism, but also strengthens historical memory, which is the foundation of national identity. KRSU is honored to be the platform for the implementation of this significant initiative, and we are confident that such events will help maintain the spirit of unity and mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and Kyrgyzstan."
The cultural and educational project, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, aims to counter the falsification of history and preserve the collective memory of the exploits of war participants. As part of the project, students will be students and teachers of such educational institutions as secondary school «Epsilon», KRSU, Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn and «Gazprom Kyrgyzstan School». Among the lecturers are — representatives of the Russian Society «Knowledge» and leading experts, including Ivan Popp, head of the development department of the Ural Federal District, Tatyana Dorokhova, associate professor of the Ural State Pedagogical University, Irina Griban, candidate of historical sciences, and other specialists in the field of history and culture. Christian Lamesa, nominee for the award «Foreign Educator of the Year», and Second Secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry Representative Office in Yekaterinburg Vitaly Pirogov will also address listeners online.
These events will help participants better understand and appreciate the significance of historical events and strengthen cultural and educational ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
