The Regional competitions of the World Team Student Programming Championship — ICPC Kyrgyzstan 2025 have started at KRSU
On November 1, 2025, the opening took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Regional competitions of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). This is one of the largest international competitions, uniting students from more than 100 countries and is the most important event in the field of IT education.
ICPC competitions have been held since 1977 and are considered the most prestigious intellectual tournament for students studying in the field of computer science and programming. Since 1996, Kyrgyzstan has been a member of the Northern Eurasia Super Region (NERC), and since 2004, the regional stage of the championship has been held on the basis of KRSU with the support of Federation of Sports Programming of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This year they are taking part in the regional stage 65 of the strongest teams from universities in Kyrgyzstan, having been pre-selected among 89 teams, who participated in the qualifying round held on September 27. Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University traditionally represents 7 teams, and it is KRSU that is the current champion of ICPC Kyrgyzstan.
Lira Samykbaeva, Deputy Minister of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, greeted the championship participants and noted:
«This event — is not just a competition, but a platform for the growth of young professionals. Here, students learn to work in teams, make decisions under pressure, and look for non-standard approaches. Such initiatives are shaping the country's new generation of IT leaders».

Regional competitions ICPC Kyrgyzstan 2025 — is not only an opportunity to demonstrate professional skills, but also a chance to express yourself in the international arena, receive recognition from the IT community and invitations from leading technology companies.
The finalists of the regional stage will represent Kyrgyzstan ICPC World FinalsН, which will take place in the spring of 2026.
