The Chinese Language and Culture Center was inaugurated at KRSU
On November 21, the opening ceremony of the renovated Center for Chinese Language and Culture took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
They took part in the festive event university leaders, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Du Dewen representatives of Chinese companies in Kyrgyzstan, heads of Federations of traditional Chinese sports in the Kyrgyz Republic, employees, teachers and students of KRSU and other higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan.
The ceremony was opened by acting Rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized that the activities and technical base of the Center for Chinese Language and Culture, opened back in 1999, have now reached a new qualitative level thanks to the help of Chinese partners.
– It is important to develop trilateral relations and in this regard, the renewal of our Center will make a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan, China and Russia. We hope that the Center will teach and study Chinese not only among international affairs students, but also students of other faculties," noted the head of KRSU.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Du Dewen, expressed hope that the renovated Center will become a platform for young people studying Chinese language and culture and will make a great contribution to strengthening friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan. The distinguished guest donated books and a commemorative sculpture to the Center, symbolizing the rapprochement of cultures.
Also speaking at the grand opening were the Director of the Confucius Institute at BSU. K. Karasaev from the Kyrgyz side G. Isamatova, Chairman of the Association of Chinese Entrepreneurs of Shaanxi Province in Central Asia, Mr. Wang Quangang.
After the ceremonial part, it took place in the large assembly hall open lecture by Du Dewen on the topic «One Belt, One Road», during which the Chinese Ambassador answered numerous questions from the audience.
At the end of the holiday, Denis Fomin-Nilov presented Du Dewen with a diploma and the robe of Honorary Doctor of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. Yeltsin.
