The strategic session on the development of the University Development Program for 2026–2030 has ended at KRSU
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin passed three-day strategic session, dedicated to formation KRSU development programs for 2026–2030.
The event was attended by university management, teachers, students, as well as experts from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, who acted as methodological partners.
The work was carried out according to project tracks, covering key areas of university development: education, science and innovation, personnel and youth policy, infrastructure, digitalization and financial management. The main goal of the session is — to develop practical solutions and indicators for implementation long-term strategy of KRSU until 2040.
Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov noted that the strategic session was an important step in the formation of a new managerial and academic culture:
«It is important for us not just to write a strategy, but to live it. Strategizing — means looking at the university from the outside, seeing its development and opportunities. Dream. Without a dream there is no movement forward —neither for a person nor for a university».
Expert of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Maria Vrublevskaya she emphasized that KRSU demonstrated a high level of involvement and readiness for transformation:
«I see colossal shifts. There were lively discussions, mutual respect, new ideas and faces. The university is developing a culture of partnership and horizontal interaction. This means that strategic thinking is already becoming the norm here».
During the session, participants identified priority tasks for the coming years:

strengthening scientific capacity and research centres;

updating educational programs to meet labor market needs;

developing youth initiatives and involving students in project management;

establishing a personnel reserve system;

modernization of university infrastructure.
The results of the strategic session will become the basis for the new KRSU Development Program, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the university, strengthening its scientific and educational role in Kyrgyzstan and the Eurasian space.
