The II International Forum on Bilingual Education ended at KRSU
The II International Forum of Teachers of the Russian Language and Subjects in Russian «Bilingual Education Today: Global Challenges and Effective Practices», organized by KRSU together with the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, ended at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.Over the course of two days, the forum brought together teachers, researchers, young scientists and experts from different countries. The central topics were bilingual education, teaching of the Russian language and subjects in Russian, modern pedagogical practices, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, professional development of teachers and work in a multilingual educational environment.The forum began with a plenary session, after which the participants continued the discussion in 10 thematic sections, round tables, expert and practical sessions. Special attention was paid to the professional trajectory of a modern teacher, digital tools in education, psychological and pedagogical support for schoolchildren and students, language interference and pedagogical diagnostics.The practical part of the program included master classes and trainings. Participants analyzed tools for working with attention and memory, modern approaches to teaching and the possibilities of using digital solutions in the educational process. Individual forum events were devoted to the exchange of experience between teachers and discussion of practices that are already used in educational organizations in different countries.For the first time, an international conference of young researchers «Science for Young People» was held within the framework of the forum. It became a separate platform for undergraduate, graduate and aspiring scientists, where the academic program was combined with practical formats.Participants presented research in the field of bilingualism and the Russian language in the digital space, discussed the use of artificial intelligence and modern technologies in philological research and education. The program included plenary reports, scientific sections, free discussions, a master class on building a digital researcher’s route and reflective sessions.Director of the Institute of Russian Language of RUDN University Natalya Pomortseva, summing up the results of the conference, noted that the new platform made it possible to unite representatives of different countries and cultures around the study and teaching of the Russian language, modern technologies and scientific research. According to her, the first experience «of Science for the Young» should be continued and become the basis for new joint projects.The head of the Cultural and Educational Center of the Russian Language of the Academy of Education named after L. S. Vygotsky KRSU Mamed Tagaev emphasized the practical nature of the forum and the active participation of not only university teachers, but also school teachers. According to him, the platform allows you to openly discuss the position of the Russian language in different countries, exchange methods of teaching it and together develop approaches to bilingual education.Director of the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of RUDN University Anna Borisova separately noted the work with young researchers. This year, an international youth conference was organized for the first time, and its program combined scientific speeches with discussions and master classes.Concluding the forum, participants noted the importance of continuing professional dialogue and working together on new educational and research projects. The organizers plan to develop the youth scientific direction and make the conference «Science for Young People» a permanent part of the annual meetings within the forum.
