Aitmatov readings were held in Novosibirsk with the participation of KRSU

Celebrations dedicated to the birthday of the outstanding writer Chingiz Aitmatov took place in Novosibirsk. The opening of the exhibition «Chingiz Aitmatov Universe» and the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Aitmatov Readings» took place at the Regional Scientific Library.
The event brought together 180 participants from different cities and countries, including prominent researchers, representatives of diplomatic missions and the cultural community. Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) was represented by Professor of the Department of International Journalism Zhypar Sultanova. In her report, she emphasized Aitmatov’s uniqueness as a master of words, whose work has become a bridge between different cultures.
Aibek Aidarbekov, Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Novosibirsk, spoke about the formative influence of the Tatar roots of the writer’s mother, and Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov called the novel «Plakha» one of the greatest works of world literature.
The Aitmatov readings became not only a platform for discussing the literary heritage of the great writer, but also an important step in strengthening cultural and educational ties between countries.
