A flower-laying ceremony took place in Osh: the rector of KRSU took part

Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov, as part of the Russian delegation, took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Memorial Complex to the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War in the city of Osh.

The ceremony took place as part of the visit of the Russian delegation, headed by the head of the Russian Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Igor Maslov. Among the participants were also the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Liliya Gumerova, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Nikolai Valuev, representatives of government authorities of Kyrgyzstan, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, student youth and city residents.

Laying flowers became a sign of deep gratitude and respect for the feat of Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for the sake of freedom and a peaceful future. Participants emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and its role in educating youth, as well as strengthening humanitarian ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
