A creative meeting with writer Alexandra Agafonova took place at the KRSU school

Students of the KRSU school met with children's writer, laureate of the Government of the Russian Federation Prize in the field of children's and adolescent literature, author of a series of books «Fairytale Lands» Alexandra Agafonova.The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. The writer told the children about how ideas for books appear, literary characters are created and the plot develops. Schoolchildren were able to ask the author questions and learn more about modern children's literature and the creative process.As part of the project «Russian writers for children», the library of the KRSU school was also given works by contemporary Russian authors. The project is aimed at popularizing modern children's literature, supporting the Russian language and replenishing the library collections of educational institutions.Separately, Elena Averkova, KRSU Vice-Rector for Educational Activities, met with Alexandra Agafonova and the project manager, chairman of the specialized commission of the Public Council under Rossotrudnichestvo, Philip Kudryashov.She spoke about the development of the KRSU school and the large-scale transformations that are taking place there today. Over the past year, enrollment has grown by approximately 300 to 817. At the same time, the university is expanding school spaces, updating classrooms and infrastructure. Particular attention is paid to creating an open educational environment in which schoolchildren participate in the life of the university, communicate with its leadership and are included in general projects and events.The project «Russian writers for children» is being implemented by the Russian Abroad Heritage Foundation and the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad with grant support from the Moscow Department of Culture.
