Practical classes in robotics and physiology for high schools were held at secondary school KRSU

25 november 2025

Over the course of two days, in-depth lessons in robotics and physiology were held at the KRSU school. Classes for teachers and students of grades 10–11 were conducted by methodologist engineer Sergei Myakishev, who spoke about modern approaches to teaching and working with digital equipment.

Robotics:

The students were introduced to the principles of modeling and assembled several devices:
— robot that performs movements (walking, dancing);
— a model of a crane that avoids obstacles and carries an object;
— robot dog;
— vision robot opening door with QR code;
— electronic set with sensors and resistors — when assembled correctly, the robot starts moving.

The guys were able to see how digital systems «come to life» with proper assembly, and tried themselves in real-level engineering problems.

Physiology and biology:

Modern equipment was used during the classes: body temperature sensors, hand compression forces, spirometers for measuring lung volume.

Students:
— the muscle strength of the hand was determined as part of the physical condition assessment technique;
— temperature was measured at different points of the body and changes after exercise were analyzed;
— studied body types and drew conclusions from the data obtained;
— worked with graphs and digital indicators, consolidating theoretical knowledge with practice.

Sergey Anatolyevich noted that such classes introduce schoolchildren into the modern digital education environment:
«It is impossible to imagine learning today without computers and sensor systems. Sensors allow you to see physical and physiological processes differently — more precisely, deeper and more clearly. This is already a step towards future medical and engineering competencies».

Teachers were also trained, mastered new software and techniques for creating digital laboratory work. This software allows teachers to independently design lessons and use a library of ready-made solutions.

The atmosphere of the classes was lively and working — the schoolchildren actively participated, asked questions and mastered the technique with interest.
Such projects help students develop engineering thinking, digital skills and confidence in working with modern equipment.
