In the Jogorku Kenesh they discussed the restoration of the monument to Panfilov in the Chui region

A meeting was held in the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on the initiative of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University to restore the monument to General Ivan Panfilov in the Chui region. Vice-speaker of the residential complex Nurlanbek Azygaliev took part in the discussion.

KRSU has come up with a proposal for the restoration of the monument, which is an important historical site. Estimate documentation is currently being prepared. The initiative was supported by patrons who expressed their readiness to finance the project, and local authorities, including the akim of the Panfilov village district, declared their readiness to provide assistance.

During the meeting, possible stages of project implementation, sources of financing and organizational issues were discussed. Vice Speaker Nurlanbek Azygaliev emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and expressed support for the university’s initiative.

Work on the project continues; in the near future it is planned to complete the preparation of documents and agree on further steps to restore the monument.
