Vladimir Putin noted the role of KRSU in the development of Russian education in Kyrgyzstan

On the sidelines of the SCO summit, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a meeting with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.During the meeting, Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia highly values Kyrgyzstan’s attention to supporting the Russian language and developing Russian education.Separately, the President of Russia noted the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University:«More than 10 thousand Kyrgyzstanis are receiving education in Russia, and KRSU operates in Bishkek, with another 8.5 thousand students studying».Vladimir Putin also recalled the construction of nine schools in Kyrgyzstan with instruction in Russian, three of which should begin work on September 1, 2027.For KRSU, this assessment once again emphasizes the special role of the university in educational and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
