Doctors from KRSU provided assistance to Kyrgyzstanis as part of «Urological Health Week»

From September 19 to 25, employees of the Department of Urology of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, under the leadership of Professor Galina Chernetsova, held an event «Urological Health Week» at Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov (g. Karakol).

During the week, more than 1,600 patients with various pathologies of the genitourinary system consulted our doctors. Doctors at KRSU, having examined Kyrgyzstanis, noted the main health problems, such as anomalies in the development of the genitourinary system, solitary kidney cysts, ICD, urinary incontinence, prostate adenoma, genital prolapse, aspermia. A number of diseases were identified in patients for the first time.

Doctors carried out all examinations (ultrasound diagnostics, biochemical tests, blood pressure measurement, examination by a specialist) free of charge, using the resources of the Department of Urology KRSU.

The surgical treatment of those in need was carried out jointly with doctors from the Issyk-Kul Regional United Hospital, and patients with more serious illnesses were sent for examination to the Republican Scientific Urological Center (g. Bishkek).

At the end of the «Urological Health Week», representatives of KRSU agreed with the Issyk-Kul Regional United Hospital on an academic mobility program for second-year residents –from now on they have access to free dormitory and a doctor’s treatment rate.
