All-Russian Congress of SMU and SNO: A view of participants from KRSU
The All-Russian Congress of Councils of Young Scientists (SMU) and Student Scientific Societies (SNO) became a platform for lively panel discussions and sessions, where speakers shared their success stories and achievements.
One of the most striking discussions, according to Alexandra Gross, an employee of KRSU, was a panel dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI) in science. Speakers discussed the latest advances in this area and the development of programs for training specialists. Many universities, including the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), are already working on creating specialized educational programs on AI. The possibility of introducing online courses that could be included in the students' diploma was also discussed.
Another important topic of the congress was the discussion of the need for cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities to improve the quality of education. This initiative found support among many participants who expressed hope for further strengthening of academic ties between countries.
Victoria Borisenko, Chairman of the SNO Faculty of Economics of KRSU, noted the importance of discussions on the experience of receiving grants. Speakers shared their stories, pitfalls, pros and cons of the process. Particular attention was paid to the possibility of exchanging contacts for future cooperation, which, according to Borisenko, is one of the key aspects of such events.
Abasbekova Aigerim, Chairman of the SNO Faculty of International Relations KRSU, emphasized the importance of discussing implemented youth projects. She noted that most speakers shared their personal experiences, which allowed participants to gain valuable knowledge and advice to pursue their own initiatives.
