Vladimir Georgievich Surdin — Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University, Senior Researcher at the State Astronomical Institute named after P.K. Sternberg, author of popular science books and laureate of the prize «Enlightener».They talked about how humanity is exploring space, what resources the Moon and Mars can provide, why future lunar bases need nuclear energy, how space technologies are changing and why reusable rockets open up new opportunities for interplanetary flights.A separate part of the meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. Participants asked whether the Universe is infinite, whether Earth-like planets exist, what the energy of future space bases might look like, and what space exploration has already brought to our daily lives.In conclusion, Vladimir Surdin was presented with a souvenir from KRSU and invited to once again become a guest of university venues.It seems that after such a lecture Issyk-Kul became a little closer to space.
