«Green economy» as a compulsory discipline in universities of the Kyrgyz Republic
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic held a round table. The main goal of the event was to sum up the implementation of the Green Economy Program for 2019-2023 and develop a consolidated approach when developing a draft new program for 2024-2028.
For this purpose, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of government bodies, as well as the expert community were invited, incl. Dean of the Faculty of Economics of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, members of the scientific school «Green Economy and Sustainable Development» – Dean of the Faculty of Economics Natalya Brovko and Doctor of Economics. Deputy Minister Choro Seyitov presented the results of the implementation of the Green Economy Program.
During the discussion of the results, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of ministries and departments made proposals to amend the Action Plan for the next medium-term period until 2028.
Professor of KRSU Natalya Brovko proposed introducing the discipline «Green Economy» as mandatory in the curricula for training specialists in universities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The proposals of the professors of KRSU to introduce an educational section in the Green Economy Program for 2024-2028 were noted and approved.
