Living Chronicle: «Student Review» KRSU celebrates its double anniversary
These days, the newspaper «Student Review» KRSU celebrates the 25th anniversary of the publication of the first issue and the 15th anniversary of Frofficial registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic as a media outlet.
«SO» – one of the few student newspapers in Kyrgyzstan that consistently publishes monthly in printed and electronic formats.
In honor of the significant event, a photo exhibition dedicated to the history of transformation «Student Review» – from A4 format, newsprint and modest circulation to a professional periodical in color, on which both experienced and novice journalists are working, took place in the foyer on the second floor of the main building of KRSU.
Professor Galina Petrovna Shepeleva was at the origins of the creation of the printed anniversary publication. For many years she was a consultant to the «Student Review».
Over the years, talented journalists Elena Cheremenina, Dina Maslova, Illarion Zvyagintsev, Anna Myagchilova, Elena Polyakova, photographer Olesya Nikulshina and many others worked on issues «of the Student Review».
Today, the newspaper, on the pages of which the authors talk about the scientific, social, cultural, educational activities of the university, its famous graduates, the contribution of KRSU scientists to the public life of the country, is published by the university’s student activists, representatives of the Media Center and the Department of Information and Media Communications.
Vladimir Nifadiev, rector of KRSU:
–The participation of young people in the creation of a newspaper «Student Review» forms an active life position in them, strengthens social and moral ideals. Our newspaper – is a chronicle of events about students, a memory of achievements and high results in studies and scientific activities.
