Life is short, and the Latin language – is eternal!
On April 29, the annual, now traditional and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of KRSU quiz on the Latin language was held. Students of specialties «General Medicine» (two teams), «Pediatrics» and «Dentistry» took part in it.
Team motto LD-1 – «Vivere militare est» (Life – is a battle»), LD-2 – «Veni, vidi, vici» («Came, saw, won»), PD – «Valva mitralis» («Mitral valve») and SD – «Socratici» (Socrates»).
Jury composition: senior curator of the Faculty of Medicine T. Kozhinova, Art. Latin language teacher of the Department of Health Sciences T. Shosheva, Art. Lecturer at the International Higher School of Medicine Ch. Kochkorbaeva, art. teachers of the Department of OZiZ G. Ishenova and R. Aitalieva, teacher of the Department of OZiZ M. Duvanaeva.
The competition included 8 tasks: greeting, warm-up, anatomical, histological and pharmaceutical terminology, commercial break, aphorisms, homework on the topic «Invia est in medicina via sine linqua Latina» and a captain's competition on the theme «My specialty».
The best result was shown by dental students who took 1st place, scoring 181 points. Second place was awarded to the LD-1 (172 points) and PD (170 points) teams. Third – for the LD-2 team (155 points). The teams were awarded the appropriate diplomas.
The following students were noted for their good level of training and were awarded certificates: in the nomination «Anatomy experts» – A. Alibaev, LD-8-22; D. Mashanlo, LD-6-22; A. Alymkulov, SD-1-22; M. Mukhtarbekov, PD-6-22; Kh. Khudoyarov, PD-3-22.
In the nomination «Record Experts» they were awarded certificates for impeccable writing of freshman recipes: A. Zhailobaeva, SD-4-22; K. Azamkhanova, SD-3-22; S. Akramova, LD-18-22.
A number of students received certificates for active participation. Students who take prizes and active participants in the quiz will receive bonus points to their academic performance score.
