Opening with this issue 2025, announced by Russian President V.V. Putin The Year of Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the editorial board of the magazine, in commemoration of this memorable date, in order to preserve historical memory, in gratitude to veterans and participants of the war, publishes materials dedicated to the tragic and victorious pages of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. In this issue we have posted information about several important events preceding the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, which were held by the Russian Center in Osh: these are events in connection with the complete breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad and the Youth Festival «Echo of War and Memory of the Heart», which included a whole fireworks of competitions: essays, readers, drawings, military-patriotic songs, theatrical performances, etc.
In the section «Our Motherland – Kyrgyzstan» you will also find information about the opening of a new Center for Additional Education in Bishkek «Russia is with you», about the grandiose Open Day held at KRSU with the invitation of not only representatives of the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Rossotrudnichestvo, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, media and the public, but also successful and famous graduates of KRSU – scientists, university teachers, economists, bankers, bloggers, pop stars, etc.
We could not ignore such a date as Writer's Day, which is celebrated around the world annually on March 3. You will learn about the history of this holiday, get acquainted with articles by domestic literary scholars devoted to the study of the creative interaction of Russian classical writers, and learn about the leaders of modern Russian-language poetry in Kyrgyzstan.
The section «Bilingualism and dialogue of cultures» contains several scientific articles by Russian and Kyrgyz scientists developing such areas in linguistics as linguoculturology, educational bilingualism and dialogue of cultures. These articles contain the author's work regarding the intensification of teaching the Russian language in a foreign language audience, working with literary text, using the potential of interactive and digital technologies, etc.
After reading this issue, you will get acquainted with the experience of creating modern Russian language textbooks for the Kyrgyz school, which is shared by one of the authors of Russian language textbooks, N.P. Zadorozhnaya, answering the question of how to make a textbook a truly relevant resource on the way to mastering the Russian language at a high level.
In the section «Russian ascetics in the history of culture of Kyrgyzstan» we talk about the contribution of sculptor O. M. Manuilova to the formation and development of monumental art in Kyrgyzstan, and as a guest of the issue we invited the dean of the Faculty of Russian and Slavic Philology to talk about modern education, students and literature Kyrgyz National University. Zh. Balasagyn (KNU), Doctor of Philology Nuraim Sardarbek kyzy, who studies the work of Chingiz Aitmatov.
