Magazine "Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan" №3 (53) 2025
A special issue of the magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan» (№ 3/53. 2025) is dedicated to International Forum of Teachers «Bilingual education today: global challenges and effective practices» which took place on September 26–28, 2025 in Bishkek, at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. the first President of the Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin (KRSU).
The forum took place thanks to the partnership of the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaev (KRSU) and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after. P. Lumumba (RUDN). More than a thousand Russian language teachers and educators leading various disciplines in Russian became online/offline participants in the forum. These are teachers from 197 schools/colleges and teachers from all universities in Kyrgyzstan, delegations of scientists from Russian-national Slavic universities (Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan), representatives of universities in Kazakhstan and Russia.
RUDN University named after. P. Lumumba prepared a rich program of the Forum, which included 32 events, including, in addition to plenary and sectional sessions, expert and strategic sessions, practical training sessions and a round table, pedagogical workshops, master classes and various methodological seminars. More than 30 speakers – leading specialists in the field of bilingual education – shared their professional experience, innovative solutions and original methods of teaching the Russian language in a bilingual educational environment, etc.
The first forum of teachers became a real international platform for dialogue between teachers teaching Russian and in Russian, from various regions and countries to improve their qualifications and develop pedagogical competencies of the 21st century.
The goal of the International Forum, which consists of uniting heads of educational organizations, teachers, methodologists, and education system experts to discuss modern challenges of bilingual education and find effective practices for its implementation, has been achieved.
A special issue of the magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan» included original materials from scientists from Russia and Kyrgyzstan prepared for the Forum, reflecting the most pressing issues of the regional state of the Russian language, ways of its preservation, development and popularization, as well as modern technologies, including digital ones, demonstrating opportunities improving the quality of educational activities of university and school teachers.
The magazine was prepared for publication by the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva, published at RUDN University named after. P. Lumumba and was presented to all Forum participants.
