"These are not just stamps - this is our memory": the cancellation ceremony of the series "Kyrgyzstanis – Heroes of the Soviet Union" took place at KRSU

A solemn ceremony of canceling a limited series of postage stamps "Kyrgyzstanis – Heroes of the Soviet Union" was held in Bishkek, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The venue for the event was the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, and the issue itself was the result of joint work of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, OJSC Kyrgyz Posts and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan.

There are 73 names on the stamps. These are Kyrgyzstanis who received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union during the war. Now their exploits are forever immortalized - albeit on a small piece of mail, but with a long history.
