The 80th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad will be celebrated in the Kyrgyz Republic – program

The events will take place in Bishkek and Osh, as well as in online format.

 

BISHKEK, January 31 Sputnik. Kyrgyzstan will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascist troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.

 

The Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Embassy, the Russian House in Bishkek, veteran organizations and students have prepared a program of events.

 

february 2, Bishkek:

10:00 the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame on Victory Square is invited;

11:00 photo exhibition «80 years of the Battle of Stalingrad» in the main building of KRSU (Kyivskaya Street, 44), admission is free;

2 pm exhibition «Ice loop of Stalingrad» at the National Historical Museum (Ala-Too Square), admission is free; photo documentary exhibition «Stalingrad a symbol of courage and heroism» on the museum’s website;

3 pm historical intelligent online game «Height 102.0», everyone is welcome (registration on the website) feat80.rf).

 

february 2, Osh:

9:00 photo exhibition and memory lesson «The Volga water was boiling» in the Russian House in Osh (Bobulova Street, 72).

 

february 9:

1 pm online conference «The feat of Stalingrad. 80 years of immortality».

The Kyrgyz made a great contribution to the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad. At least 10 natives of the republic were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Dair Asanov, Osmon Yakubov, Vasily Kaikin, Gavriil Panteleev, the famous composer and conductor Asankan Dzhumakhmatov, and soldiers of the 63rd Cavalry Division under the command of Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR Anatoly Stavenkov distinguished themselves in the battles for Stalingrad.
