The head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov visited the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) as part of a working visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian guest was accompanied by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva. He told them about the main results of the work of the faculties and institutes of KRSU. O. Rector Denis Fomin-Nilov.
Thus, the Department of History publishes textbooks for universities in the republic, and the Russian Language Institute publishes a magazine «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan», which is transferred to educational institutions in the country. Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences are developing equipment for the oil and gas industry. We have already managed to obtain four patents, including two Russian ones.
University students, as well as professionals, shared their vision of the future student campus with the ministers. The competition of concept projects was announced by KRSU and the Union of Architects of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«It is especially gratifying that students of the Faculty of Architecture of KRSU took part in this work. Minister of Kyrgyzstan Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva and I carefully read their decisions. The developed set of measures will help increase the competitiveness of the university», – Valery Falkov assessed the projects.
KRSU is an important platform for scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. More than seven thousand students are currently studying at the university. One of the famous graduates of the university is the President of the Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.
