Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaev Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B. N. Yeltsin in partnership with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. Patrice Lumumba is holding an essay competition «My Yesenin», dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the poet’s birth (1895-1925) from May 7 to June 2, 2025. Works by S.A. Yesenin are widely known in Kyrgyzstan and throughout the world; they are included in the curriculum of schools and universities in the country.
The competition is held for students of schools in Kyrgyzstan to provide talented children with the opportunity to study at the summer school of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow.
